1. 2025 Street & Utilities Improvement Project - 1st Street Closure

The 2025 Federally funded street improvement project will consist of major infrastructure improvements that will be constructed on 1st Street between trunk highway 59 and the railroad tracks west on Conley Avenue. 

• Residents located South of 1st Street are recommended to use Nora & Greenwood Streets as alternate routes to get to their respective Avenues & alleys. 
• Residents to the North are recommended to use highway 59 as an alternate route to 1st Street during construction. 

1st Street will be closed during construction.  There may be travel across 1st Street available on Spruce Ave depending on construction operations. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-July. 

Provide safe working distances for construction vehicles & work areas. Construction activities attract onlookers, please do your part to help keep the work zone safe.
